Custom Seascape and Coastal Paintings, Hand Painted in Any Size

We paint custom seascapes by hand, to order, in oil or acrylic on canvas. You choose the medium. Nothing is printed. Send us a photo of your beach, your harbor or the lighthouse near your home, or pick one of the 88 coastal designs in our catalog and we resize or recolor it for your wall. Any size, including wide panoramas. One to five paintings take 7 to 10 business days. You see photos of the finished canvas before it ships. There is no minimum order.

Your view, painted from your photo

Yes, we can paint the view from your beach house from a photo you took. A phone photo is fine. Send the largest file you have, and two or three angles if you can. Tell us what matters most in the scene, such as the water color or the pier, and we paint toward that.

Blending two photos into one painting

We can combine several photos into one composition. A common request is a sailboat from one photo and a lighthouse from another in one scene. Send both, tell us where each should sit, and we compose the scene. We can also add personal details, like your boat’s hull color.

Choosing the time of day

Your photo does not have to be the final mood. Shot at noon but want golden hour? Say so. We can shift the light to dawn, sunset or overcast gray. If the sky matters more to you than the water, start with our custom sunset paintings instead.

Sizing coastal art for the wall

A rule many designers use is to make the painting about two-thirds the width of the furniture under it.

• Above an 84 inch sofa. Two-thirds of 84 inches is about 56 inches wide. We can paint that exact width.
• Above a bed. Match the headboard width or go a little narrower.
• Above a console. Keep the painting narrower than the furniture, horizon near eye level.
• Long walls and hallways. A wide panorama, or a set of two or three matching seascapes.

Wide panoramic ocean paintings

Yes, we paint panoramas. A 72 by 30 inch ocean panorama is a custom size, and any custom size is painted at the same rate as our standard sizes. We offer 60 standard sizes from 24 by 20 inches up to 80 by 60 inches, plus sets of two and three. A single canvas wider than 80 inches is quoted case by case. For a very long wall, a multi-panel set is often easier to ship and hang than one giant stretcher.

Blues that match your room

The blue in a seascape has to live with the blues you already own. Send a paint code, a fabric swatch or a cushion cover, and we mix the water and sand colors to match. Before painting starts, we photograph the mixed color under daylight and send it to you for approval. If the teal is too green, we adjust and send another photo. Smooth water or thick palette-knife waves

You can have your waves either way. Smooth, glazed water suits calm beaches and misty harbors. Thick texture suits breaking surf, where ridges of paint stand off the canvas and catch the light like foam. Ask for heavy texture and our painters build the crests with a palette knife. Heavy texture ships stretched or framed. We do not recommend rolling thick impasto because the ridges can crack when the canvas is curved. Heavy-texture pieces also sit at the top of their production band because thick paint has to dry between layers, and oil takes longer still. See our textured paintings guide.

Oil or acrylic, finishes and frames

Both mediums are available and you pick. Oil blends softly and glows, which suits sunsets and misty water. Acrylic dries faster and gives crisp edges, which suits bright umbrellas and sharp sails.

How long it takes, and what you see before it ships

Some seascape artists quote several weeks to a few months. Ours is shorter because we are a studio with a team of painters. One to five paintings take 7 to 10 business days. Six to twenty take 10 to 15. Pieces 36 by 48 inches and larger, heavy texture and multi-panel sets sit at the top of their band.

1. Brief Send photos, size, medium, texture and color references through the quote form. WhatsApp replies are usually immediate; email replies usually arrive within 12 hours.
2. Color approval If we are matching colors, you approve a daylight photo of the mixed paint first.
3. Painting We send progress photos while the canvas is on the easel.
4. Final photos We photograph the finished painting and send it to you. Nothing leaves the studio until you approve.
5. Shipping Express by FedEx or DHL takes 5 to 10 business days. Air and sea freight are available. Freight is quoted at cost.

If a piece has a defect that is our fault, we repaint it at our cost. Payment is usually a 50 percent deposit with the balance before release, by wire transfer, PayPal or card.

Coastal art in volume: rentals, hotels and stagers

If you furnish beach rentals, you can order 20 seascapes with the same look. Tell us the palette and style and we keep every canvas in that family while varying the scene, so no two units match exactly. Trade pricing starts from one piece, improves at 6 pieces and again at 21, and mixed designs count together.

Twenty pieces take 10 to 15 business days. Rolled canvas is the cheapest way to ship more than about 20 pieces, so for volume orders we suggest smooth or light texture. We confirm the crate or tube count before booking transport. For a first order we can paint a sample, and the sample cost is credited back on any order of 10 pieces or more.

If nothing in the catalog is quite right, that is normal. Most seascape commissions start with something you already have: a photo, a screenshot, a Pinterest board, an AI-generated image, a paint chip. Send it through the quote form with your wall size and we reply with a plan and a price. We can take the colors from one image and the composition from another, or change a catalog design so the lighthouse is yours.
