Handmade to Order  ·  Free Worldwide Shipping

Every piece in our collection is an original work of art, hand-painted to order in our studio and shipped free and fully insured anywhere in the world. Below are answers to the questions we hear most often. If you cannot find what you need, our team is always one message away at support@palettemomento.com.

About Our Art

What kind of art does PaletteMomento sell?

PaletteMomento is a studio for original, hand-painted wall art. Our collection spans colorful abstracts, serene landscapes, modern figures, florals, textured minimalism, and oversized statement pieces, with new work added regularly. You can browse our full collection by color, style, theme, mood, and room to quickly find a painting that fits your space. Every piece is painted by hand on canvas, so what you receive is a true work of art rather than a mass-produced print.

Are your paintings really hand-painted, or are they prints?

They are genuinely hand-painted. Each painting is created by hand in our studio using oil or acrylic on canvas, brushstroke by brushstroke. Because no printing is involved, you get real depth, real texture, and the small natural variations that only a human hand produces. We do not sell giclee prints or machine reproductions.

Who paints the artwork?

Every painting is hand-painted in-house by the PaletteMomento studio. We are built around our studio rather than individual names: our painters all work to one shared standard of craft, so the quality, color, and finish stay consistent in every piece we make. Your piece is hand-painted by a skilled painter in our studio who is experienced in its particular style, then checked against our standards before it ships.

What materials and surfaces do you use?

We paint with artist-grade oil and acrylic paints on durable canvas, including cotton, poly-cotton, and premium linen. Stretched and framed pieces are mounted on solid wooden bars. The pigments we use are chosen for long-term color stability, so your painting stays vivid for years to come.

Do you offer textured or palette-knife (impasto) paintings?

Yes. Many of our abstracts and florals are built with palette-knife and impasto techniques, where paint is layered to create a raised, three-dimensional surface you can actually feel. Texture depth varies from piece to piece. When a particular painting features heavy texture, you will see it noted on the product page.

Will the painting look exactly like the photos on your website?

We photograph every piece carefully to represent its colors as faithfully as possible. That said, screens and monitors vary, and a hand-painted original has more depth and texture in person than any image can capture. Expect very close colors with the natural, one-of-a-kind character of real paint. If exact color matching is important for your project, contact us before ordering and we will gladly share additional photos or details.

Will my painting be one of a kind?

Yes, and you can make it even more so. Because every canvas is painted by hand to order, no two are ever exactly alike, so even a catalog design is painted fresh for you with its own natural character. What we love most is when a piece carries something personal. You are welcome to ask us to weave in your own touches, such as your favorite colors, a meaningful symbol, or a small detail like a few bees among the flowers or a different bloom color. We believe a painting becomes truly one of a kind not because of who signed it, but because it holds something that is unmistakably yours. For a piece built entirely around you, see our custom painting service below.

Sizes, Formats & Framing

What sizes do you offer?

We offer a wide range of sizes, from compact pieces around 61 x 51 cm (24 x 20 in) up to oversized works more than 200 cm (about 80 in) on the long edge, ideal as large statement wall art above a sofa or stairwell, in horizontal, vertical, and square formats. The available sizes for each design are listed on its product page, with dimensions shown in both centimeters and inches. If you need a size that is not listed, we can usually paint to custom dimensions.

How do I choose the right size for my wall?

Measure your wall first, then picture the art filling roughly two-thirds to three-quarters of the open space above furniture such as a sofa, bed, or console. Larger pieces create a stronger focal point, while small art on a big wall can get lost, so when in doubt, size up or group several pieces together. Hang the center of the artwork at eye level, about 145 to 150 cm (57 to 60 in) from the floor. Still unsure? Send us a photo of your wall with rough measurements and we will recommend a size.

What is the difference between Rolled Canvas, Frameless Stretched, and Framed?

We offer three formats so you can match your budget and your wall:

  • Rolled Canvas: the painting ships rolled in a protective tube. It is the most economical option and the easiest to ship anywhere, but you will need to have it stretched or framed locally before hanging.
  • Frameless Stretched: the canvas arrives already stretched over a solid wooden bar frame with finished edges (a gallery wrap), ready to hang straight out of the box with no outer frame.
  • Framed: your stretched canvas comes finished with an external frame in the color of your choice, ready to hang for an elevated, gallery-style look.
What frame colors and finishes can I choose?

For framed pieces you can choose from Black, White, natural Wood, Silver, and Gold frames. Each option is selected to complement both the painting and today’s most popular interior palettes. You pick your format and frame on the product page before adding the piece to your cart.

Does my artwork arrive ready to hang? Do you include hanging hardware?

Frameless Stretched and Framed pieces arrive ready to hang, with hanging hardware included so you can put them up right away. Rolled Canvas orders are not ready to hang on arrival, since they need to be stretched or framed first, after which your local framer will fit the hardware.

Do you sell multi-panel sets such as diptychs and triptychs?

Yes, we do. Several of our designs come as multi-panel sets, including diptychs (two panels) and triptychs (three), that span a wider wall for real impact. You will see the panel count and total size on each product page.

Custom & Commissioned Art

Can I commission a custom painting?

Absolutely. Commissioned work is one of the things we love most. Whether you have a specific subject, color scheme, size, or style in mind, our studio can create a one-of-a-kind piece for you. Visit our Custom Art page or email us at support@palettemomento.com to begin, and we will walk you through the details, timeline, and quote.

Can I order an existing design in a different size or color?

Yes. Most catalog designs can be painted in a different size or adapted to a new color palette to suit your space. Just tell us the piece you like and the changes you want, and we will confirm whether they are possible, along with any difference in price or timing.

Can you recreate a photo, a portrait, or a sold-out piece?

In most cases, yes. We can paint from your reference photo, combine several of your photos into a single composition, create a portrait, or recreate a piece that has sold out. Send us your references and requirements and we will let you know what is feasible. Each piece is painted fresh by hand, so it carries its own natural character.

How does the design-approval and progress-photo process work?

This is at the heart of how we work, and it is what protects you. For custom and made-to-order pieces, we confirm the design with you before painting begins, share progress photos as the work develops, and ship only once you have approved the final artwork. You are never surprised by what arrives, because you have already seen and approved it.

Ordering, Payment & Pricing

What payment methods do you accept?

You can check out securely with major credit and debit cards and PayPal. Every payment is processed through encrypted, industry-standard payment providers. For your security, we never see or store your full card details.

Is it safe to pay on your website?

Yes. Checkout runs over a secure, encrypted connection, and payment is handled by trusted processors such as PayPal rather than on our own servers. We do not store your full payment card information at any point. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.

Will I receive an order confirmation?

Yes. As soon as your order is placed, we email you a confirmation with your order number and details. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, please check your spam or promotions folder, and feel free to contact us if you still cannot find it.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Often, yes, if you act quickly. Because each piece is painted to order, please reach out as soon as possible. If painting has not yet started, we can change details or cancel for a full refund within 24 hours. If work has already begun, a $100 materials fee is deducted from your refund, and once a piece is substantially complete it can no longer be canceled. The specifics are in our Refund and Returns Policy.

Do you offer discounts, promotions, or a trade program?

We run seasonal promotions and offer savings on many pieces throughout the year, so it is worth browsing the site and joining our email list for the latest offers. We also welcome interior designers, stagers, and trade buyers: contact us about our trade program for preferential pricing on larger or repeat orders.

Shipping & Delivery

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on every order, to any destination worldwide, with no hidden charges at checkout. Every shipment is also fully insured from our studio to your door, so your artwork is protected the entire way.

How long until my painting is ready (production time)?

Because each piece is hand-painted to order, please allow approximately 1 to 2 weeks for production before your piece ships. Heavily textured paintings and custom commissions can take a little longer, since the paint needs time to cure properly. For made-to-order and custom work, we share progress photos and ship only after you approve the final result.

How long does delivery take once my order ships?

Once dispatched, most orders arrive within about 7 business days via FedEx or DHL. Larger pieces and some destinations may take a little longer. Counting both production and transit, most customers receive their artwork within roughly 2 to 4 weeks of ordering.

Which carriers do you use?

We ship with trusted express couriers, primarily FedEx and DHL, chosen for reliable international handling and full tracking. The carrier for your order is shown in your shipment confirmation email.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. We offer free, fully insured shipping to virtually every country. Wherever you are, your artwork is covered from the studio to your doorstep.

Will I have to pay customs, duties, or import taxes?

Possibly, depending on where you live. Any customs fees, import duties, or taxes charged by your country are set by your local authorities and are the recipient’s responsibility. They are not included in your order total. Orders within the United States typically have no additional import charges.

How is my artwork packaged?

We package every piece to survive the journey. Rolled canvases ship in sturdy, protective tubes, while stretched and framed pieces are wrapped in protective padding inside reinforced flat boxes. Every shipment is fully insured.

How do I track my order?

As soon as your piece ships, we email you a tracking number and link so you can follow its progress to your door. If you created an account at checkout, your tracking details are also available there.

What if my order is delayed or my tracking is not updating?

If your tracking has not moved or your delivery seems delayed, contact us with your order number and we will investigate directly with the carrier and keep you updated until it is resolved. Occasional delays can happen due to weather or customs, and we stay on top of it with you.

Can I change my shipping address after I have ordered?

We can usually update your address as long as your order has not yet shipped, so please contact us as soon as possible. Once a piece is in transit, the delivery address can no longer be changed. We recommend double-checking your address at checkout to avoid any delays.

Returns, Refunds & Our Guarantee

What is your return policy?

Your happiness is the whole point, and we have built our process so you can order with complete confidence. Because each painting is created especially for you, we stay close at every step: we confirm the design before we begin, share progress photos as it develops, and we warmly encourage you to add your own personal touches along the way, so the piece already feels like yours long before it ships. We only send it once you are genuinely happy with every stage, which is why our customers almost never need a return. And if anything ever does arrive not as it should, such as damage in transit, we will always make it right with a prompt replacement or repaint. You can find the full details in our Refund and Returns Policy.

What should I do if my artwork arrives damaged?

In the rare event of transit damage, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of both the artwork and the packaging. Because every shipment is fully insured, we will arrange a free replacement or repaint at no cost to you. Keeping the original packaging helps us process the claim quickly.

How and when will I get my refund?

When a refund is approved, it is issued to your original payment method. Please allow about 5 to 10 business days for it to appear, depending on your bank or card provider’s processing time.

Are slight differences in color or texture covered by returns?

Small, natural variations in color, brushwork, and texture are part of the beauty of authentic hand-painted art, and they are exactly what make your piece one of a kind rather than a flaw. We photograph every painting as accurately as we can, share progress photos as we work, and are always glad to send extra images before or during your order if exact color matters to you, so there are no surprises.

What happens if my order never arrives?

If tracking shows your order as delivered but you do not have it, or if it stops moving in transit, contact us right away. We will open an investigation with the carrier and, because every shipment is fully insured, we will work with you until the situation is resolved with a replacement or refund.
