Every piece is hand-painted to order in our Dafen studio, in any size you need. Prices are EXW Shenzhen, so freight is quoted separately once we know where the work is going. Below are answers to the questions we hear most often. If you cannot find what you need, our team is always one message away at support@palettemomento.com.
PaletteMomento is a studio for original, hand-painted wall art. Our collection spans colorful abstracts, serene landscapes, modern figures, florals, textured minimalism, and oversized statement pieces, with new work added regularly. You can browse our full collection by color, style, theme, mood, and room to quickly find a painting that fits the space. Every piece is painted by hand on canvas, so what you receive is a true work of art rather than a mass-produced print.
They are genuinely hand-painted. Each painting is created by hand in our studio using oil or acrylic on canvas, brushstroke by brushstroke. Because no printing is involved, you get real depth, real texture, and the small natural variations that only a human hand produces. We do not sell giclee prints or machine reproductions.
We paint in acrylic unless you ask for oil. Oil is available on request; because oil dries slowly between layers, oil pieces take longer.
Every painting is hand-painted in-house by the PaletteMomento studio. We are built around our studio rather than individual names: our painters all work to one shared standard of craft, so the quality, color, and finish stay consistent in every piece we make. Your piece is hand-painted by a skilled painter in our studio who is experienced in its particular style, then checked against our standards before it ships.
We paint with artist-grade oil and acrylic paints on durable canvas, including cotton, poly-cotton, and premium linen. Stretched and framed pieces are mounted on solid wooden bars. The pigments we use are chosen for long-term color stability, so your painting stays vivid for years to come.
Yes. Many of our abstracts and florals are built with palette-knife and impasto techniques, where paint is layered to create a raised, three-dimensional surface you can actually feel. Texture depth varies from piece to piece. When a particular painting features heavy texture, you will see it noted on the product page.
We photograph every piece carefully to represent its colors as faithfully as possible. That said, screens and monitors vary, and a hand-painted original has more depth and texture in person than any image can capture. Expect very close colors with the natural, one-of-a-kind character of real paint. If exact color matching is important for your project, contact us before ordering and we will gladly share additional photos or details.
Yes, and you can make it even more so. Because every canvas is painted by hand to order, no two are ever exactly alike, so even a catalog design is painted fresh for you with its own natural character. What we love most is when a piece carries something personal. You are welcome to ask us to weave in your own touches, such as your favorite colors, a meaningful symbol, or a small detail like a few bees among the flowers or a different bloom color. We believe a painting becomes truly one of a kind not because of who signed it, but because it holds something that is unmistakably yours. For a piece built entirely around you, see our custom painting service below.
We offer a wide range of sizes, from compact pieces around 61 x 51 cm (24 x 20 in) up to oversized works more than 200 cm (about 80 in) on the long edge, ideal as large statement wall art above a sofa or stairwell, in horizontal, vertical, and square formats. The available sizes for each design are listed on its product page, with dimensions shown in both centimeters and inches. If you need a size that is not listed, we can usually paint to custom dimensions.
Measure the wall first, then picture the art filling roughly two-thirds to three-quarters of the open space above furniture such as a sofa, bed, or console. Larger pieces create a stronger focal point, while small art on a big wall can get lost, so when in doubt, size up or group several pieces together. Hang the center of the artwork at eye level, about 145 to 150 cm (57 to 60 in) from the floor. Still unsure? Send us a photo of the wall with rough measurements and we will recommend a size.
We offer three formats so you can match the budget and the wall:
For framed pieces you can choose from Black, White, natural Wood, Silver, and Gold frames. Each option is selected to complement both the painting and today’s most popular interior palettes. You choose the format and the frame when you request a quote, and we confirm both before painting starts.
Frameless Stretched and Framed pieces arrive ready to hang, with hanging hardware included so you can put them up right away. Rolled Canvas orders are not ready to hang on arrival, since they need to be stretched or framed first, after which your local framer will fit the hardware.
Yes, we do. Several of our designs come as multi-panel sets, including diptychs (two panels) and triptychs (three), that span a wider wall for real impact. You will see the panel count and total size on each product page.
Absolutely. Commissioned work is one of the things we love most. Whether you have a specific subject, color scheme, size, or style in mind, our studio can create a one-of-a-kind piece for you. Visit our Custom Art page or email us at support@palettemomento.com to begin, and we will walk you through the details, timeline, and quote.
Yes. Most catalog designs can be painted in a different size or adapted to a new color palette to suit the space. Just tell us the piece you like and the changes you want, and we will confirm whether they are possible, along with any difference in price or timing.
In most cases, yes. We can paint from your reference photo, combine several of your photos into a single composition, create a portrait, or recreate a piece that has sold out. Send us your references and requirements and we will let you know what is feasible. Each piece is painted fresh by hand, so it carries its own natural character.
This is at the heart of how we work, and it is what protects you. For custom and made-to-order pieces, we confirm the design with you before painting begins, share progress photos as the work develops, and ship only once you have approved the final artwork. You are never surprised by what arrives, because you have already seen and approved it.
You can check out securely with major credit and debit cards and PayPal. Every payment is processed through encrypted, industry-standard payment providers. For your security, we never see or store your full card details.
Yes. Checkout runs over a secure, encrypted connection, and payment is handled by trusted processors such as PayPal rather than on our own servers. We do not store your full payment card information at any point. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
Yes. As soon as your order is placed, we email you a confirmation with your order number and details. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, please check your spam or promotions folder, and feel free to contact us if you still cannot find it.
Trade orders usually run on a 50 percent deposit, with the balance due before the goods are released for collection. We accept wire transfer, PayPal or card. The terms for your order are confirmed on your invoice. Prices are EXW our Shenzhen studio, so freight, duties and import taxes sit outside the piece price.
You can change or cancel an order at no cost until we start painting it. Email support@palettemomento.com and we will confirm the change in writing. We email you when your order goes into production, so you always know which stage it is at. After painting starts, the canvas is cut and stretched to your size and studio time is booked, so a cancellation is settled against the work and materials already committed to your order. We put that amount in writing and you decide after you see it. Once a canvas is finished and we have sent you the approval photos, it cannot be canceled. Every piece is painted to your order and to your brief. The specifics are in our Refund and Returns Policy.
We run seasonal promotions and offer savings on many pieces throughout the year, so it is worth browsing the site and joining our email list for the latest offers. We also welcome interior designers, stagers, and trade buyers: contact us about our trade program for preferential pricing on larger or repeat orders.
Prices are EXW our Shenzhen studio, so freight is not built into the piece price. Your forwarder can collect, or we quote express, air or sea for you. We give you the crate count and dimensions before you book. When we book the freight we can include insurance in the quote. When your own forwarder collects, the shipment travels under your cover from our door.
Because each piece is hand-painted to order, please allow approximately 1 to 2 weeks for production before your piece ships. Heavily textured paintings and custom commissions can take a little longer, since the paint needs time to cure properly. For made-to-order and custom work, we share progress photos and ship only after you approve the final result.
Once dispatched, most orders arrive within about 7 business days via FedEx or DHL. Larger pieces and some destinations may take a little longer. Counting both production and transit, most customers receive their artwork within roughly 2 to 4 weeks of ordering.
We ship with trusted express couriers, primarily FedEx and DHL, chosen for reliable international handling and full tracking. The carrier for your order is shown in your shipment confirmation email.
Yes, we ship to virtually every country. Our prices are EXW our Shenzhen studio, so freight is quoted separately rather than buried in the piece price. Your own forwarder can collect, or we arrange express, air or sea and quote it to you. If we book the freight, insurance can be included in the quote, and if your forwarder collects, the goods travel under your own cover.
Possibly, depending on where you live. Any customs fees, import duties, or taxes charged by your country are set by your local authorities and are the recipient’s responsibility. They are not included in your order total. Paintings executed entirely by hand are classified under HTS 9701, which carries a free base rate of duty into the United States, though other measures on China origin goods can apply. Please confirm the current position with your customs broker, or ask us to quote DDP and we will handle it.
We package every piece to survive the journey. Rolled canvases ship in sturdy, protective tubes, while stretched and framed pieces are wrapped in protective padding inside reinforced flat boxes. If we book the freight, insurance can be included in the quote, and if your forwarder collects, the goods travel under your own cover.
If we booked the freight, we email the tracking number as soon as the consignment leaves the studio. If your own forwarder collected, they issue the tracking to you directly.
If your tracking has not moved or your delivery seems delayed, contact us with your order number and we will investigate directly with the carrier and keep you updated until it is resolved. Occasional delays can happen due to weather or customs, and we stay on top of it with you.
We can usually update your address as long as your order has not yet shipped, so please contact us as soon as possible. Once a piece is in transit, the delivery address can no longer be changed. Send us the final delivery address with your order so it can be confirmed before anything is packed.
Nothing ships until you have approved photographs of the finished canvases, which is how we keep claims rare. Because each painting is created especially for you, we stay close at every step: we confirm the design before we begin, share progress photos as it develops, and we warmly encourage you to add your own personal touches along the way, so the piece already feels like yours long before it ships. We only send it once you are genuinely happy with every stage, which is why our customers almost never need a return. And if anything ever does arrive not as it should, such as damage in transit, we will always make it right with a prompt replacement or repaint. You can find the full details in our Refund and Returns Policy.
In the rare event of transit damage, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of both the artwork and the packaging. Because our prices are EXW, a transit claim is settled by whoever carried the goods, so keep the original packaging. We give you our packing photographs and the finished piece photographs you approved, which is what the carrier or the insurer will ask for, and we can put a repaint into the next production run.
When a refund is approved, it is issued to your original payment method. Please allow about 5 to 10 business days for it to appear, depending on your bank or card provider’s processing time.
Small, natural variations in color, brushwork, and texture are part of the beauty of authentic hand-painted art, and they are exactly what make your piece one of a kind rather than a flaw. We photograph every painting as accurately as we can, share progress photos as we work, and are always glad to send extra images before or during your order if exact color matters to you, so there are no surprises.
If tracking shows your order as delivered but you do not have it, or if it stops moving in transit, contact us right away. If we booked the freight, we open the investigation with the carrier ourselves. If your own forwarder collected, we give you everything the claim needs. Either way we can put a repaint into the next production run so the wall is not left empty.
We collect only what we need to process your order and support you, such as your name, address, email, phone number, and order details, and we handle it with care. We share information only as needed to run our business, with trusted partners such as payment processors, shipping carriers, and analytics and marketing tools. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
No. Payments are processed by secure third-party providers, and we never store your full payment card details on our systems.
We are always happy to help. The quickest way to reach the studio is WhatsApp on +86 180 2541 8602, or the green button at the top of any page. Email works just as well, at support@palettemomento.com, and there is a form on our Chat on WhatsApp page. For custom projects, include the idea, the size, and any reference images and we will take it from there. We are based in Dafen Art Village, Longgang District, Shenzhen, China.
Either reaches the same people. WhatsApp is quicker for sizes, reference images and small changes, and it is where we send photos and short videos while a piece is being painted, so you can ask for an adjustment while the paint is still wet. Email is where the quote, the specification and the schedule are confirmed in writing. Most clients hold the conversation on WhatsApp and keep the email thread as the record. We never send marketing messages to that number.
Our team typically responds within 12 hours, Monday to Sunday. Custom-project questions may take a little longer when they involve checking with the studio, but we will always keep you informed along the way.
Chat on WhatsApp — usually an immediate reply. Email is also available, with replies usually within 12 hours.
