We paint it in oil or acrylic on canvas, photograph the finished piece, and ship it only after you approve. One to five paintings take 7 to 10 business days.

What we paint: peonies, roses, wildflowers and more

We paint any flower you can show us. Peonies, roses, dahlias, magnolia, cherry blossom, hydrangea, tulips, sunflowers, lavender fields, poppy meadows and leaf studies are already in our collection. If your flower is not there, send a photo and we paint it.

A wedding bouquet photo. We paint the bouquet as a portrait of the flowers. Tell us which blooms matter most and we build the composition around them.
A garden snapshot. The roses by your gate or the hydrangeas your grandmother grew.
A Pinterest board or a saved image. We use it for mood and palette. We do not copy living artists, so we paint a new composition in that spirit.

Peonies can become roses. A square can become a tall vertical. Tell us the change in the quote form.

Size guide for floral canvases

Flowers look best when the canvas is big enough to show the petals.

Over a sofa. A wide horizontal is the classic choice. For a 90 inch sofa wall, most buyers pick a canvas that stops a little short of the sofa on each side, or a set of two side by side. Our largest standard size is 80 by 60 inches. Larger single canvases are quoted case by case.
Dining room wall. A large square or horizontal peony or meadow. Poppy and lavender fields are popular here.
Over a bed. A calm horizontal in soft colors, no wider than the headboard. Blush peonies and white cherry blossom are the most requested.
Hallway or hotel corridor. Tall verticals, or a set of two or three botanical panels painted together so the colors match.

Color matching to your room

Yes, we can paint peonies in blush and sage, or any other pair of colors your room uses. Send a paint code, a paint chip, or a fabric sample. We mix the color, then send you a photo of the mixed paint under daylight for approval before we start the painting. If it is a shade off, we adjust and send another photo. Only then do we paint.

This matters for florals because petals repeat one color many times. A rose that is slightly too orange looks wrong across the whole canvas. The daylight photo removes that risk.

If the painting is a gift heading to another country, tell us. Some flower colors carry different meanings in different places, and we can suggest a swap. Full details are on our color matched paintings page.

Oil or acrylic, smooth or thick petals, and how it is finished

Oil or acrylic

You choose the medium. Oil blends softly and holds thick texture well, which is why most heavy impasto florals are oil. It has to dry between layers. Acrylic dries fast and gives clean, bright color, which suits flat modern florals and leaf studies. Not sure? Tell us the look you want and we will suggest one.

Textured impasto petals

Yes, we paint thick impasto petals with a palette knife. The paint stands off the canvas and catches light. Heavy texture ships stretched or framed. We do not recommend rolling thick impasto. See our textured paintings page and the textured and plaster collection.

Finish choices

Rolled in a tube, stretched on solid wood bars, or framed in black, white, wood, silver or gold. All five frame colors cost the same. Rolled is the cheapest to ship if the painting is smooth.

Is it really hand painted? Yes. Every canvas is painted with brushes and knives by our painters. There is no printed layer under the paint. The finished photos we send show brush marks no print has. One painter carries your canvas from the first layer to the last, and you can read how we paint to see that order.

Timeline and approval, from photo to your wall

Independent floral artists often quote 6 weeks to 6 months. We paint one to five florals in 7 to 10 business days. Pieces 36 by 48 inches and larger, heavy texture and multi-panel sets sit at the top of that band because thick paint has to dry between layers, and oil takes longer still.

When the canvas is done, we photograph it and send you the photos. Nothing leaves the studio until you approve. If a piece has a defect that is our fault, we repaint it at our cost. Express by FedEx or DHL takes 5 to 10 business days. Freight is quoted separately at cost.

Payment is usually a 50 percent deposit, balance before release. Full terms are on our trade page.

Floral art for hotels, restaurants and home staging

We paint florals in quantity for hotels, restaurants, designers and stagers. There is no minimum order. Trade pricing starts from one piece, improves at 6 pieces and again at 21, and mixed designs count together. Twelve floral pieces for a boutique hotel fall in the 6 to 20 band, which takes 10 to 15 business days to paint. Smooth florals can ship rolled, which is the cheapest way to move more than about 20 pieces.

Questions people ask

Can you paint my wedding bouquet from a photo?

Yes. Send a clear photo of the bouquet and tell us which flowers matter most. We paint it in oil or acrylic on canvas, in any size, and send you photos of the finished piece before it ships. Please use a photo you took yourself or one you have permission to use, because a professional photographer usually owns the copyright to their pictures.

Do I choose oil or acrylic for a flower painting, and what is the difference?

We paint in acrylic unless you ask for oil. Oil is available on request. Because oil dries slowly between layers, oil pieces take longer.

How long does a custom flower painting take?

One to five paintings take 7 to 10 business days to paint. Six to 20 pieces take 10 to 15 business days. Heavy texture and canvases 36 by 48 inches or larger sit at the top of the band because oil has to dry. Express shipping by FedEx or DHL then takes 5 to 10 business days. Many independent artists quote 6 weeks to 6 months.

Can I see the painting before it ships, and what if I do not like it?

If a piece has a defect that is our fault, we repaint it at our cost. Color matching is approved from a daylight photo before painting, which prevents most surprises.

Can you paint a set of three botanical panels for a hallway?

Yes. Sets of two and three are part of our standard sizes, and we paint all panels together so the colors and brushwork match across the set. Tall verticals like magnolia, cherry blossom or monstera leaves work well in a corridor. Multi-panel sets sit at the top of the production band because each panel has to dry.

We need 12 floral pieces for a boutique hotel. Do you do trade orders?
