Custom Landscape Paintings of a Place You Love, Painted from Your Photo

We paint landscapes by hand, to order, from your photo. A phone snapshot is enough to work from. You choose oil or acrylic on canvas, in any size from 24 by 20 inches to 80 by 60 inches and beyond. One to five paintings take 7 to 10 business days. We send progress photos while we paint and photos of the finished canvas before it ships, and nothing leaves our studio until you approve. Landscapes we paint

Our studio is in Dafen Art Village, Shenzhen, and landscapes are among the most common commissions we take:

• Mountains. Alpine peaks, misty blue ridges, a lake below the snow line.
• Meadows. Poppies, bluebells, a summer field before the hay is cut.
• Forests and paths. Birch groves, pine ridges, an autumn lane.
• Farmland. Wheat, vineyards, and the family farm as you remember it.
• Tuscany. Cypress rows, a stone farmhouse, soft rolling hills.
• Provence. Lavender rows, a lone tree, a village on the hill.
• The view from your own window. The cabin lake, the ranch gate, the hill behind your grandparents’ house.

A painting of a place you love is a gift people keep for life, for an anniversary, a retirement, or parents who sold the farm.

From your photo to a painting

You do not need a professional shot. A vacation snapshot or an old print works. Here is what helps most.

1. Send the original file. Upload the largest version you have through the quote form. A file sent straight from the phone keeps more detail than one forwarded through a messaging app.
2. Send more than one photo if you have them. Two or three angles help us read the shape of the land. We combine several photos into one composition, so the view from your cabin plus the sunset from another evening is a normal request.
3. Tell us what to remove. Power lines, the parked car, a neighbor’s roof. Painting is not photo editing. Our painter simply leaves those things out and fills the space with what belongs there.
4. Tell us the light. A noon photo can become golden hour. A gray day can get a warm sky. Summer can turn to fall color. We adjust light and colors to match how you remember the place.
5. Approve the photos. We send progress photos during painting, then photos of the finished canvas. We ship only when you say yes.

Choosing the style

You decide how close the painting stays to the photo. The easiest way to tell us is to point to a catalog painting whose brushwork you like.

Size and format

Any size. We offer 60 standard sizes from 24 by 20 inches up to 80 by 60 inches, plus sets of two and three. Any other size is painted to your measurements at the same rate. Larger single canvases beyond 80 by 60 inches are quoted case by case.

How big to go over a sofa

Over a long sofa, one wide horizontal canvas or a set of three panels reads best. Send us the sofa width and ceiling height and we will suggest sizes from the standard list. A useful trick: mark the outline on the wall with painter’s tape and live with it for a day.

Panoramas and sets

For a wall wider than one canvas can cover, a set of two or three panels lets the scene run across the wall while each piece stays easy to ship and hang. For one very large canvas, see extra-large paintings.

Oil or acrylic, and how it is finished

Both oil and acrylic are available, and you choose. Oil dries slowly, so our painters can blend soft skies, mist and distant hills. That slow drying is also why pieces 36 by 48 inches and larger sit at the top of their time band. Acrylic dries fast and gives crisp edges and bright, even color.

Canvas is premium linen. The finished painting can be:

• Rolled in a tube, ready for a local framer to stretch. Cheapest to ship.
• Stretched on solid wood bars, ready to hang.
• Framed in black, white, wood, silver or gold. All five frame colors cost the same.

Heavy texture ships stretched or framed. We do not recommend rolling thick impasto. One painter builds that texture from start to finish, and how we paint walks you through each stage of the work.

Timeline, progress photos and approval

Production starts once we have your photo, your size and your deposit. Progress photos let you see the composition early and ask for changes while they are still easy. Nothing leaves the studio until you approve the final photos. If a piece has a defect that is our fault, we repaint it at our cost.

Shipping a large landscape abroad

Our terms are EXW our Shenzhen studio. Freight is quoted separately, at cost, and we do not add to it. Choose express by FedEx or DHL in 5 to 10 business days, air freight for bigger orders that need to move quickly, or sea freight in 25 to 40 days for the lowest cost per piece on large batches.

Stretched and framed canvases are wrapped and boxed, and large or multiple stretched pieces go in a wooden crate. We confirm the crate count with you before transport is booked. CIF and DDP are available on request. Under EXW, transit risk sits with the carrier and with you as the buyer. If we arrange the freight, we help with any claim.

On duty: paintings executed entirely by hand fall under HTS 9701, which has a free base rate of duty into the United States. Other China-origin measures can apply, so confirm with a customs broker. Full terms are on our trade page.

For designers, hotels and stagers

There is no minimum order. Trade pricing starts from one piece, improves at 6 pieces and again at 21, and mixed designs count together. A hotel ordering 30 landscapes in several scenes gets the 21-piece rate on all of them, and they leave in one batch in 15 to 20 business days. For a first order or a large project we paint a sample, credited back on any order of 10 pieces or more. Payment is usually a 50 percent deposit with the balance before release, by wire transfer, PayPal or card.

• Golden Tuscan fields with cypress, a warm horizontal for a dining room or long sofa wall.
• Lavender rows and a lone tree, a Provence scene in thick purple and gold impasto.
• Layered misty blue mountain ridges, a quiet blue-gray horizontal that suits bedrooms.

Yes, you can order any Tuscany painting bigger or with warmer colors. Tell us the size and describe the shift, for example more gold in the fields and a peach sky. We can also add your own farmhouse or tree to a catalog scene.
