We hand-paint figurative art to order: dancers, musicians, beach figures, fashion figures and faceless abstract figures. Every canvas is painted by a person in our studio in Dafen Art Village, Shenzhen. Nothing is printed. We paint in acrylic unless you ask for oil. Any size, no minimum order, and we photograph every finished canvas and send you the photos before it leaves the studio.

What counts as figurative art here

Figurative simply means there is a person in the picture. It does not have to be a likeness of anyone. Most of what we paint sits somewhere between a real body and a shape, which is why it works in so many rooms. Here are the groups buyers ask for most.

Why faceless and stylized figures work in hotels and salons

A guest room is seen by hundreds of different people. A painted face has an age, a mood and an ethnicity, and someone always reads it as a stranger watching them sleep. Take the face away and the same canvas becomes posture, color and movement. Guests read themselves into it instead.

The same logic helps in a salon or a boutique. A faceless fashion figure sets a mood without competing with the client in the mirror or with the clothes on the rail.

The other reason buyers choose faceless work is practical. There is no likeness, so there is no model to clear and no one to offend. It also ages slowly. A hairstyle or a face dates a room in five years. A shape does not.

How we keep a series varied but consistent

Hotels usually want every room to feel the same without every room being identical. We do that by locking three things across the whole series and letting one thing change. The palette stays fixed, the canvas size stays fixed, and the brush or knife handling stays the same because the same small group of painters works the run. What changes is the pose: one figure seated, one turned away, one mid-step. Hung side by side they read as one hand. Hung in thirty different rooms, no guest sees a repeat.

Paint it your way

Almost nobody orders a figurative painting exactly as it appears in a catalog. Most buyers change something, and changing it costs nothing extra unless the size changes.

• From your own photo. Send a photo and we paint it. If you do not want a portrait, say so and we will turn the person into a faceless or abstract figure, keeping the pose and the clothes and dropping the features.
• From a mood board or a render. A designer’s render, a Pinterest board, a digital file, a scanned sketch or an AI-generated image all work as a starting point. We can also combine several photos into one composition.
• Recolored from the catalog. Any design in our collection can be repainted in a different palette. The indigo jazz musicians can be painted in blues and grays. The crimson violinist can be painted in your lobby’s greens. Ask for the change by SKU and describe the colors you want.
• Matched to a paint code or fabric. Send a paint code, a fabric swatch or a chip. We mix the color, photograph it under daylight and send you the photo for approval before we start the painting. See color-matched paintings for how that works.
• Resized. Any design can be painted at any size, including as a set of two or three panels across a wide wall.

A matched series for hotels and hospitality

This is the part printed decor suppliers cannot do and galleries will not do at volume. We paint a run of figurative canvases by hand, each one different, all in one palette, on a staged timeline.

There is no minimum order. Trade pricing starts at one piece, improves at 6 pieces and improves again at 21. Mixed designs count together, so a 30-room hotel ordering 30 different figures still reaches the 21-plus rate in one order. For a first order or a large project we paint a sample first, and the sample cost is credited back on any order of 10 pieces or more.

Production runs 7 to 10 business days for 1 to 5 pieces, 10 to 15 for 6 to 20, 15 to 20 for 21 to 50 and 20 to 30 for 51 to 100. Over 100 pieces we schedule the run with you and deliver it in batches if the opening date needs it. Pieces 36 by 48 inches and larger, heavy texture and multi-panel sets sit at the top of their band, because thick paint has to dry between layers. Oil takes longer than acrylic for the same reason.

Before anything is released we photograph every finished canvas and send the photos. Nothing leaves the studio until you approve it. Modest and adapted variants

Beachwear, bare shoulders and bare backs are common in figurative painting and are not right for every property. Tell us the brief and we will paint the same composition with longer sleeves, covered shoulders, a longer hem or a turned-away pose. Figurative art for salons, boutiques and studios

Salon and boutique owners usually come to us with brand colors rather than a picture. That is an easy brief. We take a fashion figure, a profile or a seated woman and repaint it in your two or three brand colors, then repeat the palette across every wall so the room reads as one identity.

Placement matters more than subject here. Above a styling station the art is seen in a mirror, reversed, all day, so simple shapes hold up better than busy detail. Behind reception the piece is the first thing a client sees, so that is where the largest canvas goes. In a fitting area or a treatment room, keep the figure calm and the palette soft.

One large figurative piece for a home

Plenty of our figurative orders are a single painting for one wall. A dancer above a sofa, a violinist in a dining room, beach figures in a hallway. If that is you, the choice comes down to two things: how big, and how it hangs.

For size, work from the furniture, not the wall. The canvas should sit a little narrower than the sofa, bed or console below it, not floating small in the middle. Our standard sizes run from 24 by 20 inches up to 80 by 60 inches, and 36 by 48 inches is where a figure starts to feel life-sized in a normal living room. Any size in between is painted to your measurements at the same rate, and larger single canvases are quoted case by case.

For finish, a stretched canvas on solid wood bars suits loose impressionist figures and heavy texture. A frame in black, white, wood, silver or gold suits calmer minimalist figures, and all five frame colors cost the same. Heavy impasto should ship stretched or framed rather than rolled, because thick paint does not like being rolled in a tube.

Sizes, finishes and shipping at a glance

For volume, rolled canvas is the cheapest way to ship, especially above about 20 pieces. Packing is by tube, stretched, framed or wooden crate, and we confirm the crate count with you before any transport is booked. Paintings executed entirely by hand fall under HTS 9701, which carries a free base rate of duty into the United States. Other measures on China-origin goods can still apply, so confirm your landed cost with a customs broker. How an order runs

1. Tell us the brief using the quote form, email or WhatsApp. Send the SKUs you like, your photos or mood board, the sizes, the quantity and the date you need it on the wall.
2. We quote with sizes, medium, finish, production window and a freight estimate. WhatsApp replies are usually immediate; email replies usually arrive within 12 hours.
3. Sample if you want one. For a first order or a large project we paint one piece first. The sample cost is credited back on any order of 10 pieces or more.
4. Deposit. Usually 50 percent to start, by wire transfer, PayPal or card. Terms are confirmed on the invoice.
5. We paint, and send progress photos on commissions so you can steer the color or the pose while the paint is still workable.
6. Approval photos. Every finished canvas is photographed and sent to you. Nothing is released until you say yes.
7. Balance and release, then packing and collection. Under EXW your freight forwarder collects, or we arrange the shipment if you prefer.
