01 / Choose the application

02 / Define the painting brief
Identify the area that must remain in frame, the expected viewing distance, and important colors or details. A background canvas and a close-up prop require different levels of resolution. Mark any crop and visible edge treatment before painting.
If a scene needs doubles, list each version and any intended differences. Use an approved reference to hold composition and palette across the set. Hand painting introduces small variations, so tell us which details must line up for continuity.
Provide original or authorized source material and explain the intended use. Your production’s clearance team should approve that material and the documentation it requires. An unsigned canvas or a newly painted image alone does not establish clearance for screen use.
03 / Prepare the order
Approved source files, artwork dimensions, set or camera references, copy counts, required finish, delivery location, and on-set date.
Attach the chosen reference to each design and keep alternatives separate. We review the brief with you before production is confirmed.
04 / Confirm price and delivery

05 / Resolve the details
No blanket clearance is implied. Send source material your production is authorized to use and tell us what documentation the clearance team requires. Your production team reviews that material and the intended use before ordering.
List the version count and mark any planned differences. Identify the focal features that must stay consistent in the shot. Hand painting creates small variations, so compare samples at the intended camera distance before committing to critical matching.
The shot determines what matters. A distant background image may depend on silhouette and color blocks, while a close-up may need recognizable facial, architectural, or lettering detail. Provide a camera reference so we can quote the appropriate work.
Send the visible opening, any overlap from the frame lip, and the required total canvas size. Keep essential details away from areas the frame will cover. Confirm the crop before painting.
