Show surrounding joinery, lighting, doors, and access clearances. The visible painting, stretcher, and frame have different dimensions. Confirm which measurement the yard requires and who provides the mounting system.
Send any marine, fire, weight, humidity, or maintenance specification at inquiry stage. A standard hand-painted canvas should not be assumed to meet vessel-specific certification. The yard or responsible designer should approve the proposed material and mounting arrangement.
Separate painting and approval from shipping and the yard’s installation period. Provide a receiving contact and the location that will accept the work. For a set of cabins, use room IDs and a common sample reference to coordinate the package.

05 / Resolve the details
No. Send the vessel’s exact requirements before selecting the artwork presentation. The yard or responsible designer needs to approve the material and any specialist mounting or treatment. Do not infer certification from the appearance of a framed painting.
Provide a dimensioned elevation with the visible opening, frame allowance, depth constraints, and nearby fittings. If the usable shape is unusual, send a template or drawing. Confirm which dimensions govern the finished piece.
Use a clear photograph showing the hull, rigging or superstructure, and identifying details. Mark the viewpoint and any equipment, tender, or background to omit. Add detail photographs where a feature is obscured.
Give the yard address, receiving contact, latest acceptable arrival date, and any restrictions. We compare suitable logistics options and confirm timing against the painting brief. Leave a separate allowance for the yard’s installation work.
