We hand-paint agave and nopal, bougainvillea over a stone wall, marigolds, colonial streets and big tropical leaves. Every canvas is painted by hand to order in our studio in Dafen Art Village, Shenzhen. Nothing is printed. We paint in acrylic unless you ask for oil, on premium linen. There is no minimum order. A home in Guadalajara can order one piece, and a restaurant in Houston or Miami can order fifteen that hang together, with mixed designs counted together for one rate.
What Mexican and Latin rooms are asking for now
The hacienda room is calm, not loud. Lime-washed walls, dark beams, clay floors, heavy wood. The color arrives in doses: terracotta, cobalt, deep marigold, a little green. Art here should be large and simple in composition with strong color inside it. One 60 by 40 inch canvas above a long console does more than a gallery wall.
The modern apartment in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey or Bogota is a different job. Pale walls, clean lines, one or two craft pieces. These buyers want local color without a souvenir look. Abstracts in rust and cobalt work, and so do desert landscapes and close botanicals.
Miami, Los Angeles and Sao Paulo lean tropical: bigger leaves, brighter pinks, more light, so the paint can be saturated without taking over.

The motifs we paint most for these rooms
Agave, nopal and desert plants
Blue agave painted large, light sitting along each blade. Nopal paddles, yucca, ocotillo. These work as a vertical pair beside a doorway or as one wide canvas over a sideboard.
Talavera-inspired pattern
Cobalt and white pattern on canvas, so you get the look without tiling a wall. Talavera is a protected name for ceramics from Puebla and Tlaxcala, so we paint Talavera-inspired pattern and never call it Talavera.
Streets, doorways and courtyards
The stepped lanes of Guanajuato, a pink wall in San Miguel de Allende, arches and a fountain, clay pots in the sun. Send a photo or a render and we paint that place, not a generic one.
Tropical foliage
Monstera, palm, banana leaf and heliconia, painted big and green. Good for Miami, Los Angeles and coastal Brazil, and good for restaurant walls that must read across the room.
Marigolds and Day of the Dead, painted with respect
Day of the Dead is a memorial, not a costume party. Families build an ofrenda for the people they have lost, and the marigold, the cempasuchil, is there because its color and smell are believed to guide the dead home. That is the meaning we work from.
So we paint marigold fields, a bunch of cempasuchil in warm light, candles and papel picado color, and quiet memorial pieces. If you want a portrait of a grandparent to hang above your own ofrenda, we paint it from your photograph.
We do not paint costume skulls, cartoon calaveras mixed with Halloween, or sombrero and fiesta cliches. If you are not Mexican and you love this imagery, the respectful version is simple: paint the marigolds and the light, and skip the costume.
What we will not paint, and what we paint instead
No Frida Kahlo. We do not paint her likeness and we do not copy her paintings. Her name and image are trademarked by the Frida Kahlo Corporation, and her work is still in copyright because she died in 1954.
No Rivera, Tamayo or Botero. All three are still in copyright. We check copyright before we quote, and we paint only work that is in the public domain, meaning the artist died more than 70 years ago and the work was published before 1931.
No copied community designs. Otomi tenango embroidery, Zapotec weaving, Saltillo sarape and Huichol beadwork belong to specific communities, and Mexico’s 2022 heritage law lets those communities act against copies.
What we paint instead is usually what the buyer wanted anyway. A portrait of you or your mother in a bold, flower-crowned style composed for you. A still life of fruit, parrots and flowers. A pattern built from cobalt and white rhythm we compose ourselves. If you ask for a religious image such as the Virgen de Guadalupe, we paint it as a devotional image, not decor.
For Mexican and Latin restaurants
Restaurants are most of our volume work. These restaurant and bar orders run like this.
Size. Above a banquette, hang the art so the bottom edge sits about 8 to 10 inches above the seat back, which usually means a canvas 24 to 30 inches tall. On a long wall, one oversized canvas reads better than four small ones. A 12 foot wall takes a single piece around 72 by 48 inches, or a set of two or three panels. Send a photo of the wall and we will tell you the size we would paint.
Matching. We paint sets that belong together: same palette, same hand, a different subject on each canvas. Ten agave and courtyard pieces in one rust and cobalt range look like a collection, not a shopping trip.
Time and rate. A set of 10 to 15 pieces takes 10 to 15 business days to paint, plus freight. Mixed designs count together, so six different subjects still reach the 6 piece rate. Rolled canvas is the cheapest way to ship volume, especially above about 20 pieces. Before a real number can reach you, there are a few things we need from you, and how we quote lays them out.

Getting the color right
Most of this work starts with a painting we already have and a room that is a different color. We can recolor any catalog design. A pink and green floral can be repainted toward marigold, rust and cobalt. If nothing in the catalog sits close enough, you can also have us paint a floral from scratch in the colors you name.
If you have a paint code, a tile or a piece of fabric, we match the color to it. We mix the color, photograph the mix under daylight and send you that photo for approval before painting starts.
Tell us the wall color too. Warm white and lime-washed walls take saturated art well. Deep walls need more light inside the painting, or the canvas disappears.
Shipping to Mexico, the US Southwest, Florida, Colombia and Brazil
Delivery is EXW our Shenzhen studio. We quote freight separately at cost and add nothing to it. Express by FedEx or DHL takes 5 to 10 business days. Sea freight takes 25 to 40 days and suits an opening planned months ahead. CIF and DDP are available on request.
Into the United States, paintings executed entirely by hand fall under HTS 9701 with a free base rate of duty, which covers buyers in Texas, Florida, California and Arizona. Other China-origin measures can still apply, so confirm with your customs broker. For Mexico, Colombia and Brazil the import taxes vary, and Brazil applies several of them, so ask a local broker for the landed cost before you commit.

- Sample if you want one For a first order or a big project we paint a sample. The cost is credited back on any order of 10 pieces or more.
- Color proof If we are matching a code or a fabric, you approve the daylight photo of the mixed color before painting starts.
- We paint Usually a 50 percent deposit starts the work, and you get progress photos on commissions.
- You approve, then it ships Nothing leaves until you say yes to the photos. The balance is due before release, by wire transfer, PayPal or card.
