We paint every piece to order in Dafen, Shenzhen, so the size, the palette and the finish are all decided by your project rather than by what happens to be in stock. You see photographs of the finished canvas before it ships, and nothing leaves the studio until you approve it. Trade pricing starts at one piece, and the rate improves as the count goes up.

The first thing anyone notices is the curved line of cream and blush roses in the upper middle. They start small on the left and grow fuller toward the right, and each one has a deep rose pink heart. Behind them the ground is midnight blue, almost black in the corners, so the pale petals seem lit from inside. Above the roses on the right, large cobalt and violet blooms are brushed in loosely, next to a strip of amber gold along the edge. Thin silvery twigs climb through the middle. In the lower half, pale lavender flowers with five petals cluster on the right, while a trailing stem of small blue bells hangs on the left above deep green leaves.

A dark painting needs a lighter wall around it, or its edges disappear. Warm cream, sand and limewash plaster give the navy ground a clean border and pick up the cream of the roses, as the entry and living room photos show. Dusty pink is a richer choice, since it repeats the blush in the petals, which is the look in the coral pink living room photo. Sage green works too, echoing the leaves at the bottom. Avoid a navy or charcoal wall, where the dark background melts away. Linen, boucle, oak and woven baskets soften the drama, and a brass lamp repeats the gold strip. As dark floral wall art for a living room, it gives a pale sofa wall depth. In a bedroom, a restaurant booth or a hotel bar, it adds a rich evening mood.

Every IA123 is painted for your order by one painter, from the first sketch to the last petal. Painters are matched to the subjects they paint every day, so this canvas goes to someone who works on florals. The arc of roses, the twigs and the flower clusters are sketched on premium linen and blocked in first. Next, the navy, violet, blush and cream are mixed on the palette against this design. The dark ground goes down before the pale roses, which keeps their petals bright against it. We paint in acrylic unless you ask for oil, and oil takes longer. You get photos and short videos on WhatsApp as the painting goes, and you approve daylight photos of the finished canvas before it is released.
Allow about 7 to 10 business days for one to five pieces and 10 to 15 for six to twenty. The 60 and 72 inch heights sit at the longer end, since one painter covers the whole canvas alone.
Most flower paintings sit on white or pale backgrounds. IA123 does the opposite. Its ground is a deep navy that turns almost black in the corners, and the flowers come forward out of it like a garden seen at dusk with one lamp on. That contrast sets the mood. The cream roses look brighter than they really are, and the cobalt blooms at the top glow instead of fading. Designers often turn to dark floral art for rooms used in the evening, such as dining rooms, bars and hotel bedrooms. It feels rich without being loud, because almost everything outside the roses stays in shadow.
The palette has three families. Navy, indigo, violet and periwinkle fill most of the canvas. Cream, blush and deep rose pink belong only to the roses. Green appears low down in the leaves, with a yellow green glow at the bottom center and a few tiny red dots. Then there is the amber gold strip on the upper right edge, the only warm note outside the flowers. Blue is widely associated with calm, and here it covers most of the area, so the painting feels peaceful even though it is dark. The pink and cream act as the light source. Pull them into the room with a blush cushion, a cream throw or a brass lamp, and the painting looks planned for the space.
Impressionism grew in nineteenth century France, when painters chose loose, broken strokes to catch light and atmosphere instead of exact detail. IA123 uses that approach in a low key. The roses are not outlined. Their petals are quick strokes of cream with pink worked into the shadows. The cobalt blooms at the top are only a few broad, wet marks of blue and violet, with dark gaps left between them. The background is soft and cloudy, with lighter patches of blue that feel like mist. Only the twigs and the small lavender flowers are drawn with any care, and they lead the eye from the roses down through the canvas.
Hospitality spaces at night need art that still holds up in low light. A pale painting can look flat under dim lamps, but the cream roses here stay bright against the navy. In a restaurant, the vertical shape fits between windows, on a pillar or beside a booth. In a hotel, it suits the wall beside a desk, a narrow space next to the bed or a lift lobby. Wine bars and lounges with velvet, brass and dark wood are a natural match. For a run of rooms, the same design can be painted in several heights, so a corridor and the suites share one look.
IA123 is 4 units tall for every 3 wide. That shape is made for walls that are taller than they are wide, such as entry halls, the space between two doors, a stair landing or the wall above a narrow console. Over a 48 inch bench or console, the two thirds rule points to a width near 32 inches, so the 40 by 30 inch size fits well. For a reading corner beside an armchair, 36 by 27 inches is a comfortable choice. A lobby wall can take the 60 or 72 inch heights. Hang the center 57 to 60 inches from the floor, and if the space needs a size between the listed ones, the canvas is painted to your measurements.
Two floral paintings work well with IA123. The white and purple flowers on a periwinkle blue ground (CA19) stays in the same cool blue family but is much lighter, so the pair moves from night to day along a corridor. The soft pink roses with green leaves (IA34) repeats the roses in a fresher palette for a bedroom or a guest suite.
Hang a pair at the same center height with about 3 inches between the frames. Each canvas is painted to order, and nothing ships until you approve daylight photos of your own painting.
A curving line of cream and blush roses with deep pink centers arches over the upper half. Above them on the right are large cobalt and violet blooms, painted loosely. Lower down there are pale lavender flowers with five petals, a trailing stem of small blue bells, thin silvery twigs and deep green leaves. The flowers are suggested more than drawn, so the whole scene feels like a garden at dusk.
Light, warm walls work best. Cream, sand, warm white and limewash plaster frame the dark ground and repeat the cream of the roses. Dusty pink picks up the blush petals for a softer, romantic room. Sage green echoes the leaves at the bottom. A navy, charcoal or black wall is the one to avoid, since the dark background blends into it and the painting loses its edges.
The painting is 4 units tall for every 3 wide, so it suits narrow walls. Beside an armchair or above a small console, the 36 by 27 or 40 by 30 inch sizes are a good fit. In an entry hall or a restaurant with high ceilings, the 48 by 36 inch size and up hold the wall better. Hang the center about 57 to 60 inches from the floor. Other sizes are painted to your measurements.
Yes. The roses can be painted pure white or a deeper pink, the ground can move from navy to deep green or plum, and the gold strip on the right edge can be warmed, cooled or left out. A client's favorite flower can also be added to the arch. Send a photo or a paint chip, and the painter mixes the colors against it on the palette.
It is a brushwork painting, not a heavy relief piece. The dark ground is soft and fairly smooth, with cloudy patches of lighter blue. The roses and the pale flowers carry visible brush marks where the paint sits a little thicker, so they catch some light from the side. From a few steps away, the surface looks smooth and deep.
The arc of roses, the cobalt blooms, the lavender cluster and the navy ground stay the same on every canvas. Each petal, twig and bell is painted fresh, so the small shapes shift a little from piece to piece. If a project needs a closer match for many rooms, the run can be painted against one approved sample.
A thin gold or brass frame repeats the amber strip on the right edge and warms the navy, which is the look in the room photos. A black frame, like the main image, makes the dark ground look even deeper and suits modern or moody rooms. White, silver and wood frames are also available, as are stretched canvas without a frame and rolled canvas in a tube, the most compact way to ship.
