A real painting commission
Fashion Figure Painting Commission: A 135 × 180 cm Canvas Without the Screenshot Icon
The client asked us to paint an acrylic fashion figure with oversized sunglasses, a black outfit and an orange-red background on a canvas 135 cm wide × 180 cm high. They requested rolled canvas and specifically asked us to leave out the camera icon and white spots at the bottom of the supplied reference. The commission kept the figure and graphic color blocks while separating the artwork from the on-screen icon.
135 cm wide × 180 cm high · Acrylic on canvas · Rolled canvas requested · Screenshot icon omitted
The brief
Keep the figure; leave out the screen icon
The reference combines a swept bob haircut, large dark glasses, a raised hand and a sharply defined black silhouette. A burgundy curtain-like form runs down the right edge of the orange field. Those elements belong to the composition; the small camera-style icon at the lower left does not belong in the commissioned painting.
The client’s instruction was to omit that icon from the painted canvas. The finished photograph shows orange background in that area. The reference remains visible above so that the requested difference is clear.
A first order paid in full upfront
The client was very happy with the service they received and chose to pay in full upfront for this first commission. The order was agreed as an acrylic painting on rolled canvas, with the reference’s camera icon and white marks left out of the painted design.
Full upfront payment was this client’s choice. Our standard deposit is 50%.
Recorded painting stages
Developing the hair, face and orange background
In the earlier studio photograph, the main figure is already established. Broad passages of orange surround the black outfit, while the hair, glasses and face have their initial shapes. Variations in the background and clothing remain visible at this stage.
The next photograph shows clearer warm highlights through the hair and a more distinct gradient in the glasses. Small edges around the lips, fingers and rings carry much of the expression, while the large areas of black and orange keep the composition direct.
Details from the studio photographs
Small edges within a bold composition
These close views show the painted contours rather than an enlarged digital reference. The hand remains readable against the orange, and the small pale rings stand apart from the surrounding skin and dark sleeve.
The finished acrylic surface from two angles
The closer studio photographs show brushwork within the orange field and black outfit, alongside the clean contours of the sunglasses, fingers and hair. The image keeps its graphic shapes at a distance, while the angled views reveal the real painted surface.
The completed painting
The full 135 × 180 cm canvas
The completed painting brings the black figure, orange-red field and burgundy side passage together. The camera-style icon from the reference is absent, leaving the painted composition free of the screenshot symbol.
Specified as rolled canvas
The client requested rolled canvas rather than a framed presentation. This final photograph records the completed painting before packing; it does not show a packed roll or delivery to the client.
The studio setting and loose canvas edges remain visible around the finished painting. The closer views above show the painted surface from different angles.
